With central vacuum systems, the brand of the hose can be different from the brand of your central vac unit. However, the end of the hose that plugs into the wall inlet needs to match the type of inlet you have. Keep this in mind if you will be replacing your central vacuum hoses. 1. Make sure your central vacuum system is turned off and there’s no power going to the inlet.

2. Carefully remove the faceplate of the old wall inlet. Usually, it's held in place by two screws located at the top and bottom. Keep these screws aside, as we'll need them later.

3. Once the faceplate is removed, you'll notice a few wires connected to the wall inlet. Unscrew the terminal screws and disconnect the wires. 

4. Carefully pull the old wall inlet out from the mounting bracket or box in the wall. Be careful not to damage the surrounding wall or any other components.

5. Now it's time to reconnect the wires. Strip the ends of the wires if necessary, using a wire stripper, to ensure a clean connection. Attach one wire to each of the screws on the inlet. It doesn’t matter what wire goes to what screw as long as they are on separate screws. 

6. Once all the wires are securely connected, tighten the terminal screws using your screwdriver. Give each wire a gentle tug to make sure they're firmly in place.

7. Finally, align the faceplate of the new wall inlet with the inlet body. Insert the screws through the faceplate holes and tighten them with your Phillips screwdriver.

And there you have it - a brand new central vacuum wall inlet installed and ready to use!
