What is the difference between an open-box and factory-refurbished vacuum?

 

Open-box vacuums may be store demos, customer exchanges, photo or video samples, or machines whose outer packaging was damaged. Factory-refurbished vacuums come through manufacturer-authorized refurbished inventory. Both are professionally inspected, fully functional and covered by the applicable manufacturer warranty.

 

Are open-box vacuums used or pre-owned?

 

No. We do not purchase used vacuums from individuals or resell privately owned machines. Some may be customer exchanges or display models, but every vacuum is carefully inspected and fully checked before it is offered for sale.

 

Do open-box vacuums include a manufacturer warranty?

 

Yes. Every open-box and factory-refurbished vacuum includes the manufacturer warranty offered for that model. SEBO open-box vacuums include the full 10-year warranty when purchased from Geek Vacuums as an authorized SEBO dealer. Miele warranty lengths vary by model, so the exact coverage is listed on each product page.

 

What condition will my open-box vacuum be in?

Every vacuum is fully inspected and ready to perform like it should. Minor cosmetic scuffs or scratches are possible, and the original box may show damage or be replaced. Packaging damage does not mean the vacuum itself was damaged.

 

Do open-box vacuums come with new bags and filters?

Every vacuum includes fresh filters and a new bag when applicable. Bagless and cordless models do not require a replacement bag.

 

Are all of the original attachments included?

Yes, the vacuum includes the standard attachments that normally come with that model. Any difference in the included accessories will be noted in the product description.

 

Can I use a promo code on an open-box vacuum?

No. Open-box and factory-refurbished vacuums are already significantly discounted, so additional promotional codes do not apply.

 

Can an open-box vacuum be returned?

Yes. Open-box vacuums follow our standard 30-day return policy and may be subject to a 20% restocking fee. If you are unsure whether a model is right for your home, chat with us before ordering and we’ll help you choose.

 

Do open-box vacuums qualify for free shipping?

Yes. These vacuums qualify for free shipping within the continental United States. Geek Vacuums only collects sales tax on orders shipped within New York.
