What the HX3 Aqua actually does
The Aqua is the reason the HX3 series exists. It is a full-power Miele cordless vacuum that also washes your hard floors — and the switch between the two takes one click.
AquaTwister wet cleaning
Washes the floor, doesn't just wet it
Two counter-rotating pads work the floor while clean water feeds in from a removable 10 fl oz tank — so dried-on spills lift instead of smearing around. And there is no dirty-water tank to empty, rinse or deodorize afterward.
Three water levels plus Boost, chosen from the display, for everything from sealed hardwood to a kitchen floor that needs scrubbing.
360° Brilliant Light rings the floorhead so nothing gets missed along baseboards or under cabinets.
One tank covers about 1,600 sq ft. Pads are machine washable and two come in the box.

Swap the head, switch the job
The AquaTwister clicks on in place of the Electrobrush — no tools, no reassembly. The display detects it and changes from suction settings to water control on its own, so there's no mode to hunt for. A drip tray is included for the wet head between uses.
It isn't simultaneous, and that's deliberate — you never push dirty water around a floor you haven't vacuumed yet.

It deep cleans carpet, not just skims it
The Digital Efficiency Motor works with Vortex Technology to capture 99.99% of dust, and the Lifetime HEPA filter then holds 99.999% of what passes through it — so the air coming out is cleaner than the air going in. That matters if anyone in the house has allergies.
The HEPA filter is never replaced. No recurring filter cost for the life of the machine.

Refurbished and repackaged by Miele at the factory — not customer returns. Each carries the same 2-year Miele factory warranty as a brand-new machine, and we inspect it again before it ships. The only difference from new is the occasional cosmetic mark on the housing.

Which Miele cordless vacuum can mop?
Only the Triflex HX3 Aqua and HX3 Plus Aqua, using the AquaTwister wet floorhead. You swap the AquaTwister on in place of the Electrobrush and the display changes from suction levels to water control by itself. No HX2 or HX1 accepts it. The AquaTwister is also sold separately and fits any HX3.
What's the difference between the six HX3 models?
The motor, the HEPA Lifetime filter, the body, the bin and the battery are identical across all six. What changes is what's in the box: the Aqua and Plus Aqua add the AquaTwister wet floorhead, the Cat & Dog adds a powered pet brush, the Hardfloor and both Plus models add the soft Hardfloor Care Tool, and the two Plus models include a second battery. The base HX3 is the only one whose Electrobrush has no headlight.
Should I still buy an HX2?
For a lot of homes, yes. Miele kept the battery, charger, filter and most accessories compatible across generations, so parts won't disappear. You give up the HX3's longer runtime, its clearer display and the AquaTwister option. What you gain is a two-battery machine for less than a single-battery HX3 — and for a big house, two batteries beats a slightly better motor.
Which one is best for pet hair?
The Cat & Dog models, because they include the Electro Compact Brush — a small powered head for stairs, upholstery and car seats, which is where pet hair actually lives. On the floor, every model here uses the same XXL Electrobrush and handles hair the same way. The HX3 Cat & Dog is the current generation; the HX2 Cat & Dog is the same idea for less.
Do I need two batteries?
It comes down to square footage. One battery gives you 38 minutes on the low setting with the powered floorhead, or about 1,720 sq ft on a charge. The two-battery Plus models double that to roughly 3,440 sq ft. If you clean the whole house in one go, the second battery is what keeps you from stopping to charge for four hours.
Is there a dirty water tank to empty?
No. The AquaTwister feeds clean water from a removable 10 fl oz tank and the dirt is held in the pads, so there is nothing foul to pour out, rinse or deodorize afterward. The pads are machine washable and two come in the box. One tank covers about 1,600 sq ft.
Will my existing accessories and batteries fit?
Mostly, yes. Miele kept the battery, charger, finedust filter, Hardfloor Care Tool and accessory holder compatible across the HX1, HX1 Relaunch, HX2 and HX3 — so spares you already own aren't wasted, and a battery bought today still works if you upgrade later. The Electrobrush range did consolidate to two SKUs, so check with us before ordering a replacement floorhead.
What does certified refurbished mean here?
Miele refurbished and repackaged the machine at its own factory — these are not customer returns. Every unit carries the same 2-year Miele factory warranty as a new one, and we inspect it again before it ships. The only thing you give up is cosmetic: there may be minor marks on the housing.
