How is the Plus Aqua different from the Triflex HX3 Aqua?

They share the same machine and the same AquaTwister. The Plus Aqua adds the Hardfloor Care Tool soft roller, a second battery for up to 140 minutes of total runtime, and the HX-AH accessory holder. If one battery covers your home, the HX3 Aqua is the value pick.

How long does it run with both batteries?

Miele rates each battery at up to 70 minutes with the PowerUnit on its own at the lowest setting, so up to 140 minutes across both. With the MultiFloor XXL electrobrush attached, expect 38 minutes per battery on low and 15 minutes on high. Each battery takes 240 minutes, about 4 hours, to fully recharge.

What floors can I use the AquaTwister on?

Water-resistant hard floors such as sealed tile, stone, laminate and vinyl. The dual rotating pads have three adjustable water levels, so you can dial back moisture on more sensitive surfaces. It is not intended for unsealed wood or for carpet.

Is it good for allergy sufferers?

Yes. It picks up over 99.99% of dust, and its HEPA lifetime filter provides 99.999% exhaust air filtration under EN 1822-1:2019, so fine particles stay in the machine instead of blowing back into the room.

Does it stand up on its own?

Yes, with the MultiFloor XXL electrobrush attached it parks free-standing without a wall bracket. It does not stand on its own with the AquaTwister attached; the AquaTwister has its own storage tray, and a wall mount is included for the vacuum.

When would I use the soft roller instead of the AquaTwister?

The Hardfloor Care Tool is for dry cleaning: it picks up dust and debris gently on hardwood and tile without any water. The AquaTwister is for washing water-resistant floors. Many owners use the roller on wood and the AquaTwister on the kitchen and bathroom tile.

Three ways to hold it

One machine for floors, ceilings and the car

The motor unit unclips and moves. Down at the bottom in Comfort mode the weight sits near the floor, which is where you want it for everyday vacuuming. Up at the top in Reach mode the wand goes under the bed, behind the couch and into ceiling corners without you holding the heavy end overhead. Pull the wand off altogether and the motor unit is a handheld for stairs, upholstery and the inside of the car.

  • Comfort mode keeps the weight down at floor level
  • Reach mode moves the motor to the top for under and above furniture
  • Handheld mode with dusting brush, XL upholstery nozzle and crevice tool

Miele suction, and a filter you never replace

The MultiFloor XXL electrobrush reads the floor underneath it. FloorDetect steps the brush roller up when you move onto carpet and eases it off on hard floors, so you are not stopping to change a setting every time the flooring changes. And what the vacuum picks up stays inside it: the HEPA Lifetime Filter holds 99.999% of exhaust particles and is not sold as a replacement part, because it does not need to be.
