Features That Make Everyday Cleaning Easier

Pet hair off the furniture, not just the floor

The Electro Compact brush clicks on in handheld mode and pulls hair out of sofa cushions, stair runners and the dog bed, where a plain nozzle just skims over it.

You can see what you are cleaning

BrilliantLight LEDs on the electrobrush throw light across the floor ahead of you, so tumbleweeds of fur under the table do not get missed.

It adjusts so you don't have to

FloorDetect senses whether you are on carpet or a hard floor and changes suction as you cross the room, so you are not stopping to press anything.

Cleaner air behind you

The HEPA lifetime filter keeps fine dust and dander inside the machine and is designed to last the life of the vacuum, so there is no replacement filter to keep buying.

Empty it without wearing it

Twist2open lets you open the dust container directly over the bin, so hair and dust drop out with almost nothing escaping back at you.

FAQ's

What does the Electro Compact brush do?

The HX-EC 10 Electro Compact is a small motorized brush that attaches in handheld mode. Its rotating brush roll lifts pet hair that is woven into fabric, so it is the tool to use on sofas, stairs, pet beds and car seats.

How long does the battery last on a single charge?

Miele rates the PowerUnit at up to 70 minutes on its own at the lowest setting. With the MultiFloor XXL electrobrush attached, expect 38 minutes on the low setting and 15 minutes on high. The 25.2V lithium-ion battery is removable and takes 240 minutes, about 4 hours, to fully recharge.

Is it good for households with pet allergies?

Yes. It picks up over 99.99% of dust, and its HEPA lifetime filter provides 99.999% exhaust air filtration under EN 1822-1:2019, so fine particles and dander stay in the machine instead of blowing back into the room. The Twist2open dust container also empties with almost no dust contact.

I have a Triflex HX2 Cat & Dog. Is this the replacement?

Yes. The HX3 Cat & Dog replaces the HX2 Cat & Dog. Batteries, the charger, the fine dust filter, the Hardfloor Care Tool and the accessory holder from the HX1 and HX2 all fit the HX3.

Does it work on both carpet and hard floors?

Yes. The MultiFloor XXL SEB 436 electrobrush handles both, and FloorDetect automatically adjusts suction as you move between them. Boost Mode is available for heavily soiled areas.

Does it stand up on its own?

Yes. The Triflex parks free-standing without a wall bracket, so you can set it down mid-clean. A wall mount is also included in the box if you would rather store it mounted.

Three machines in one

What the Triflex HX3 does

This is the Triflex the line is built on. Same motor, same HEPA Lifetime Filter and the same 3-in-1 body as every other HX3 — the straightforward kit, without the extra floorheads. If you want Miele suction in a cordless stick and nothing in the box you won't use, this is the one.

Three ways to hold it

One machine for floors, ceilings and the car

The motor unit unclips and moves. Down at the bottom in Comfort mode the weight sits near the floor, which is where you want it for everyday vacuuming. Up at the top in Reach mode the wand goes under the bed, behind the couch and into ceiling corners without you holding the heavy end overhead. Pull the wand off altogether and the motor unit is a handheld for stairs, upholstery and the inside of the car.

  • Comfort mode keeps the weight down at floor level
  • Reach mode moves the motor to the top for under and above furniture
  • Handheld mode with dusting brush, XL upholstery nozzle and crevice tool
  • Stands up on its own between rooms, so no wall bracket is needed

Dry vacuuming

Miele suction, and a filter you never replace

The MultiFloor XXL electrobrush reads the floor underneath it. FloorDetect steps the brush roller up when you move onto carpet and eases it off on hard floors, so you are not stopping to change a setting every time the flooring changes. And what the vacuum picks up stays inside it: the HEPA Lifetime Filter holds 99.999% of exhaust particles and is not sold as a replacement part, because it does not need to be.

  • MultiFloor XXL SEB 431 electrobrush
  • FloorDetect adjusts between carpet and hard floors on its own
  • HEPA Lifetime Filter, 99.999% exhaust filtration, nothing to buy again
  • 0.5-quart bin releases and empties without putting your hand in the dust
Everything included with the Miele Triflex HX3 in Brilliant White.
In the box

Everything you need, nothing you don't

A wall bracket and charger, the accessory holder, and the three hand tools that cover the rest of the house. The Triflex also parks upright on its own, so if you would rather not drill into a wall, you don't have to.

  • MultiFloor XXL electrobrush
  • Dusting brush, XL upholstery nozzle and crevice nozzle
  • Accessory holder HX-AH, wall mount and charger
  • Parks upright on its own — wall mounting is optional

Runtime is Miele's rating for the motor unit at the lowest power setting. With the powered floorhead attached, expect 38 minutes on low and 15 on high.

Every model, side by side

All six Triflex HX3 models share the same motor, HEPA lifetime filtration, 0.5-quart bin, FloorDetect, Boost Mode and 3-in-1 body. What separates them is which floorheads and tools come in the box, and whether you get a second battery.
