Made for the Austin Air HealthMate Plus Junior (HM250). Austin says it fits all of its Junior-size purifiers. Match the prefilter to your purifier: white for a White or Sandstone unit, black for a Black or Midnight Blue unit.

Which Austin Air purifier does the FR250 fit?

The FR250 is the replacement filter for the Austin Air HealthMate Plus Junior (HM250). Austin Air says it fits all Junior-size units, so it can also upgrade a HealthMate Junior for chemicals and VOCs.

What's the difference between the FR250 and FR200?

Both have 30 sq. ft. of HEPA. The FR250 adds potassium iodide-impregnated carbon for VOCs and chemicals, while the FR200 uses carbon and mineral media for everyday odors.

Which prefilter color do I need?

Match the prefilter to your purifier’s color. The white prefilter is for White and Sandstone units, and the black prefilter is for Black, Midnight Blue and Graphite units. The filter inside is the same either way.

How often should I replace an Austin Air filter?

Austin Air designs its main filters to last up to five years under normal home use. The Austin “it” VOC carbon wrap is the exception, at about three months.

Can I use my FSA or HSA?

Yes. Austin Air purifiers and replacement filters are FSA/HSA eligible. Depending on your plan, you can pay with your FSA or HSA card at checkout, or pay another way and submit your receipt for reimbursement. Some plans ask for a letter of medical necessity, so check with your plan administrator if you’re not sure.
