Need less suction for a rug or a more delicate cleaning job? Adjust it right on the handle. The brushroll on/off switch is there too, so you don’t have to keep returning to the canister to make changes.

EASY MAINTENANCE

Pet hair is easier to deal with when the brushroll comes out

Picking up hair is only part of the job. When hair wraps around the brushroll, the E3 lets you remove the roller without tools so it’s easier to clean. It’s a practical feature you’ll appreciate if you have shedding pets or long hair in the household.

The ET-1 also looks out for itself. If something jams the brushroll, a warning light comes on and the powerhead shuts off to protect the motor and belt.

COMFORTABLE HANDLING

Easy around furniture, and manageable between floors

The E3’s canister is compact, so it stays out of your way as you work and is easy to carry up and down stairs. While you vacuum, you’re mostly guiding the powerhead, not the canister.

The ET-1 powerhead steers 180° to follow you around chair legs and corners, and its low 3.5-inch profile slides under beds, sofas and other low furniture.

SEALED FILTRATION & OWNERSHIP

A sealed system, and a vacuum you can look after

The E3 uses Sebo’s S-Class filtration in a sealed system. The air you vacuum passes through the bag, a pre-motor filter and an exhaust microfilter, then is diffused out through the foam-padded Airbelt bumper. The casing is sealed so air can’t slip around the filters on its way out.

Looking after it is straightforward. The bag closes with a cap as you lift it out, the filters are easy to replace, and parts like the brushroll and hose can be replaced on their own. The tapered hose helps keep debris moving, which reduces clogs.

Truly an amazing Vacuum. I never thought I would buy a Sebo, but I was over the constant maintenance of bagless vacuums. Myles was so helpful in helping me decide and try out the E3. Holy COW! What a vacuum! Myself and my husband always buy cheap vacuums, and it shows. We have 3 dogs, 2 Great Pyrenees and 1 Husky, so all of the "high priced" vacuums we've bought (aka $300 max) have all had the motor burn up quickly from all the hair, or the brushes get so tangled, it's impossible to clean.

The Sebo E3 is INCREDIBLE since the brush comes out to clean, and with it having a bag instead of a container, it picks up WAY more hair. We had forgotten what our carpet color was originally until we ran this bad boy, and YIKES, what a difference it made after a single pass.

Anyway, it IS expensive, buy my goodness, is it completely worth its weight in gold and more!

This is a great vacuum for deeper cleaning and with attachments that make it easier to clean hard to clean things like blinds and behind + under beds. The product is a 4 star rating instead of 5 because the hose is rather heavy and does not swivel so you do have to kind of strategically place it/ untangle it often.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Sebo E3

Does the E3 come with everything I need for carpet and hard floors?

Yes. The E3 Premium comes with the ET-1 electric powerhead for carpet and rugs, Sebo’s standard parquet brush (6391AM) for hardwood, tile and laminate, and three onboard tools for upholstery, edges and dusting.

The Premium Parquet Brush is an optional upgrade with wheels and removable bristles. You don’t need it to get started.

Is the E3 a good choice for a home with pets?

It is, and you don’t need a special pet model. The ET-1 powerhead lifts pet hair from carpet and rugs, and the brushroll comes out without tools when hair wraps around it. The sealed S-Class system keeps what you pick up inside the vacuum, and the bag closes with a cap when you take it out.

If several pets are shedding heavily, the D4’s larger bag means fewer bag changes.

How heavy is the E3 to carry?

The canister body weighs 11.4 lbs. That’s the canister on its own: the hose, wand and powerhead add to it when you carry everything together, and the hose handle you hold while cleaning weighs about 1.5 lbs.

While you vacuum, the canister rolls along behind you, so you only lift it when you carry it up or down stairs.

Does the E3 have a HEPA filter?

No. The E3 uses Sebo’s S-Class filtration rather than a HEPA filter, and it isn’t the same thing. S-Class is a filtration standard that applies to the whole vacuum: the air you pick up passes through the three-layer bag, a pre-motor filter and an exhaust microfilter, then is diffused out through the foam-padded Airbelt bumper. The casing is sealed so air can’t leak around the filters.

That sealed design is what keeps captured dust contained, so we look at the whole system rather than the word “HEPA” on one filter. If you have specific allergy concerns, chat with us and we’ll talk through your options.

What does the E3 add over the Sebo K3?

Both use the same ET-1 powerhead and handle controls. The E3 adds a push-button cord rewind (the K3’s cord retracts with a short tug instead), a slightly larger bag (0.92 vs. 0.8 gallons) and a slightly lighter canister body (11.4 vs. 12 lbs).

The K3 can take an optional HEPA microfilter, while the E3 uses S-Class filtration without a HEPA option. See the Sebo K3.

What should I know about wool or delicate rugs?

Start with your rug’s care label or the maker’s guidance, because some rugs shouldn’t be cleaned with a spinning brushroll. With the E3 you can switch the brushroll off at the handle, raise the powerhead, turn the suction down, or use the standard parquet brush instead.

What warranty comes with an E3 from Geek Vacuums?

When you buy your E3 from us, it’s covered for 10 years on the motor and non-wear parts and 7 years on labor. Parts that wear with normal use, such as the brushroll, bags and filters, aren’t covered for ten years.

Keep your order confirmation as your proof of purchase and register your E3 with Sebo at warranty.sebo.us. If anything goes wrong, contact us first and we’ll help from there.

Which bags and filters does the E3 use?

The E3 uses Sebo Airbelt E filter bags (8300AM), eight to a box. Replacement filters come in the Sebo E microfilter box (8322AM), and the E service box (8334AM) has bags and filters together.

How often you’ll change the bag depends on your pets, your household and how often you vacuum, so there isn’t a set schedule.

What are your shipping and return policies?

Orders of $200 or more ship free to the lower 48 states.

You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your E3. Returns have a 20% restocking fee, which we waive when you exchange it for another vacuum from Geek Vacuums. The vacuum needs to be unused and in its original packaging.
